Vaccination and Travel Medicine

The vaccination clinic of the department for hygiene, social and environmental medicine of the Ruhr university of Bochum is a yellow fever vaccination center (YFVC) licensed by the department of health of north rhine-westphalia according to WHO and besides consulting in travel medicine including malaria prophylaxis and all vaccinations we also offer special vaccinations e. g. Japanese-B encephalitis.

The vaccination doctors are specialists for hygiene and environmental medicine and underwent advanced training and certification in travel medicine consulting services respectively. The consulting is carried out with payed attention to the guidelines of the permanent vaccination commission at the Robert-Koch-Institute (STIKO) and of the German Society for Tropical Medicine and International Health e. V.

An individual vaccination status even without a planned travel abroad according to the current vaccination guidelines of the permanent vaccination commission at the Robert Koch-Institute (STIKO) can be carried out as well.

In order to provide a complete vaccination status we kindly ask you to bring your vaccination card with you! As a matter of course we issue international vaccination cards as well.

Due to the fact that the vaccination center is a private doctor's office we are not able to charge health insurance cards. The payment methods available are either by cash or cash card.
